Biography
Julia Gibbs was born in San Francisco, CA in 1957. Her undergraduate education was obtained at Santa Clara University, where she earned her B.S. degree in 1978. Ms. Gibbs graduated with the designation of Magna Cum Laude, and also as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 1981.
Ms. Gibbs practiced in the Bay Area from 1981 until 1987, moving to the Sacramento Valley in 1988. She maintained her law firm in El Dorado Hills from 1991 through 2005, at which time she relocated to Sacramento on Howe Avenue.
Ms. Gibbs is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the California Bankruptcy Forum, the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum and the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association. She speaks frequently on topics related to bankruptcy law.
